What advice do you have for couples with many out-of-town guests?

I always recommend building a room block with a mix of room types so different guests can find something that works for them. It’s also helpful to make sure your out-of-town guests know how to experience Pittsburgh while they’re here. Sharing favorite restaurants, neighborhoods to explore and nearby attractions helps them feel more connected to the city and the celebration. The goal is to make everything feel easy so couples can focus on enjoying the weekend with the people who traveled to celebrate with them.

How do you handle special requests or unique situations for guests?

Weddings naturally bring a wide range of personalities, preferences and needs, so flexibility and proactive communication are key. When special requests come in, whether it’s ADA accommodations, connecting rooms for families, late arrivals or in-room amenities, I work closely with our operations team to coordinate everything in advance. For more unique situations, like VIP guests or last-minute changes, I act as a single point of contact so the couple doesn’t have to manage those requests themselves. At the end of the day, it’s about anticipating needs before they become stress points and creating a polished, elevated experience.
